According to an official communiqué issued by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education has circulated to all education directorates that students who have the symptoms of flu in private or public schools of the Kingdom must be taken immediately to the health center to which the school belongs.

In the circular, the Ministry confirmed that the infected students should not return to school except after bringing a medical report allowing them to return.

The circular also included that a decision was issued by the Minister of Health stating that the necessary measures should be taken to ensure the health and safety of students in all schools in Jordan.

For his part, spokesman for the Ministry of Education, Walid Al-Jallad, confirmed that there is great coordination between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health to take the necessary measures when a case of H1N1 "Swine Flu" is registered.

He also said that awareness and educational brochures are being distributed about the disease, ways to prevent it, how to deal with it, and how to take public safety measures in schools.

The circular stressed that the need to give the infected students a sick leave until they recover without giving them days off.
